Week 5

The next week was our last week before the Easter break and we had our Formative presentations for the project. I continued my research into the references for the interior and exterior build. I had decided I wanted my exterior to be a model I created in Blender instead of Sketchup because I was hoping to animate a short sequence from this to present the space with atmosphere by using sound and light.

I gathered enough information for the presentation regarding the historical and geographical context for the environment design that included the two films I had written previously about here during Week 1 of my research into the idea. Based on these two films I chose to even write my Creative Research Essay topic on one of them by forming my essay question around how the film ‘Padmaavat’ was visually similar in its themes to that of Shakespeare’s Othello, my intent was to dive deeper into the cinematography and production design in the film.
